Great App but you cant save previous entries in the Update

I really enjoy this app. Unfortunately, when you update to a new device there is no way to keep your entries from the old app. I wrote to the creator of the app and asked if there was a way to save my old writings and I never got a response. I searched Google to see if anyone had a way to save, but could not find an answer.

Great app

Simple, clean, easy to use no muss no fuss

Excellent Journal

This is so far an amazing journal apps! Ease of use, but versatile!

Easy to get started and use

This is simple to use and doesnt take a lot of reading instructions to get started.

Best app for journaling

Ive tried several note apps, diary apps and for daily journaling this is by far the best. Thank you for a simple straightforward way to record the events and thoughts of my life. I brought down to a one and I wish there was a zero. THEY SAY IT BACKS UP! I just lost 6 montHs of some stuff that was very important. Well , it will backup to Dropbox IF YOU DO IT AFTER EVERY ENTRY. IT DOES NOT HAVE AN OPTION TO SAVE TO CLOUD..ok you can save it to another app, but why not write it that one to begin with. I loved this app I kept track of my life here, some of it should have been it a better app but I thought this one WAS backing up, but it didnt. So be careful, Dropbox is the only choice of saving off the device itself. That is just sloppy design with no care for your important information. Unforgivable to me.

Great app!

This app is great and easy to use use. I use it as a journal and love the idea of being able to add pictures for every entry.

Easy to use

Im really enjoying this app. Its easy to use and organize. Perfect for a quick entry.

Its okay

I like the password feature. It is simple enough to just put in an entry. I usually just make a fast entry of my day or of my highlight of the day I would add to it. I wish it had more options to edit my photos.

LOVE IT

I absolutely love this! I journal almost everyday but sometimes Im to tired to write it all down. Now I just talk into the phone and I cant print it out later! Like that I can add pics too! Havent figured out how to make them smaller yet but I will

Finally . . .

A journal app that is easy to use. I can copy and paste text from other sources, I can copy and paste pictures and move them easily. I love the fonts. I dont understand why I cant high light and underline though, other than that I am VERY happy with this app.

Very good

I love being able to write a bit through out the day. Having a journal in my iPhone puts that ability right in my hand. The time stamp helps me keep track of what time of day that I make the entry. I am an artist and being able to also place a photo in with the entry make this a complete record of my day.

Great app!

Love this. Easy to use and love the pic function. I do have trouble making pics smaller!!

Password

How do I recover my password if I forgot it

Great Journaling App!

Super easy to use. I use this app all the time. Its by far the best journaling app Ive found.

Favorite app

It has everything I want. I use it everyday for recording everything. It has simple and clean design which I really appreciate. Backup is super easy, so is the restoration from it. Wish it had sync ability to connect all i-devices. Thanks for the useful app!

I finally started a Journal! :-)

I bought Chronicle because I liked what I saw on the Apple App Store and I am glad that I did! I had been thinking about starting a journal for several years now but the several apps that I tried, the UI design was either distracting or overloaded with in your face and really not needed features for journal or diary keeping, hindered the thinking/writing process flow. Chronicle has what is needed and does not get in the way of writing with unnecessary mechanics or whatever. Thank you for doing it right, IMHO. Observations: I need to use dark backgrounds (read black) because my eyes get sore from the constant shower of photons on them with bright white backgrounds (and dimming the screen just increases eye strain), if you live in front of your iPad. Not to mention any names. ;-) Anyway, a brighter cursor for dark backgrounds would be nice, or maybe a set of three to choose from in settings? With the right three you could cover medium intensity colors as well. Just a thought. It would be nice to be able to manually collapse the Entries column while working in the landscape orientation. Then use the entire display for reading the text. More text per screen and then less vertical scrolling. Any thoughts of adding the ability to add audio clips? That way you could make a quick audio recording and insert it in the text and just leave it or transpose it later when your environment was more conducive to the process and the delete the audio recording.

Very good journal, love it,

but, I wish it would sync between devices. Thus, I give it four stars instead of five

Professional

Very good and simple app!.. Wish I could change the color at the top. Different themes would be nice, 8-10 colors, possibly leather pattern!.. Wouldnt even mind paying an extra $1 for this. Also would like for keyboard to use up less space at the bottom like on all other apps. For some reason when typing I get a larger keyboard..

No Complaints

Simple, Easy, Obvious... easy to organize! Simple!

Better than others; still a few things to improve

I was using another journal app, but it had several limitations that this app has overcome: ability to add more than one photo per day, ability to resize and rotate photos, and ability to drag photos around in the finished entry. However, the export to PDF leaves a little to be desired. I use this app as a travel journal, especially for trips when my husband and I are unable to bring our elementary-aged children along. I like to send them the entries every day or so, so that they can see what we are doing and share in the adventure. Unfortunately, any photos that happen to fall on a page break get split between the two pages in the PDF. It seems that the ability to force photos to the next page, the ability to preview the page breaks, or the ability to export content and import it to this same app on another device would all be potential ways to fix this.
